Holiday Season at the JBFC

By JBFC Marketing Associate Paige Grand Pré

It’s holiday time at the JBFC, and with it comes a slew of traditions: the unofficial start of awards season, our annual screenings of It’s a Wonderful Life, the JBFC’s Year End Giving Campaign, and a few fun surprises along the way.

As we gear up for awards season, the JBFC is proudly screening a number of contenders currently jostling for the film world’s top prizes, from Lady Bird and Call Me by Your Name to I, Tonya, Darkest Hour, and The Shape of Water. Recognizing the value of tradition, we are also presenting a number of repertory screenings and performances, including It’s a Wonderful Life from Dec. 21—25 and The Bolshoi Ballet’s The Nutcracker on Dec. 20 at 6:30 pm and Dec. 21 at 2:00 pm. Whether you’ve seen them once or a thousand times before, bring your family and friends to relive the joy of these timeless classics. Tickets are already available on our website for all of the above, so don’t delay!

While you’re in the giving spirit, we have some great ideas for gifts, too. If you are looking to donate, we welcome donations to our Year End Giving Campaign in honor or in memory of your loved ones. Donations to the JBFC—a nonprofit arts organization—go a long way in bringing the magic of media to your community and spreading lots of holiday cheer.

If you’re looking for the perfect gift for that hard-to-please recipient, why not pick up one of our JBFC gift cards? Available in any denomination from $25 on up, JBFC gift cards are redeemable for movie tickets at the theater, merchandise, concessions, and even Courses @ the Lab – a perfect solution for everyone on your list!

For the discerning cinephile, we also offer gift memberships, a perfect way to ensure your film-loving friends get the inside scoop on upcoming events, receive discounts on tickets, and reap the benefits of joining our close-knit community of filmmakers and film lovers. Gift memberships can be given at any level of membership, and, as always, are tax-deductible to the maximum extent allowable by law. Available online, by phone, or in person at our box office, gift cards and memberships to the JBFC are ideal for Chanukah, Christmas,  Kwanzaa, New Year’s, winter birthdays, and more!

So join us, and bundle up with the Burns this holiday season!
