Noirvember: Film Noir from Yesterday to Today

Nov. 3–17, 2024

This November, the JBFC will be celebrating the rich history of film noir with screenings, lectures, special guests, events, and themed “unhappy” hours for guests to dress up and catch some of the best of the genre on the silver screen. This series will feature film noirs from both the classic era of the postwar years like Gilda and Mildred Pierce and those made in subsequent decades like Klute, Chinatown, Bound, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Dive into the darker side of cinema with a series of lectures on film noir from NYU Tisch professors, join us for special introductions from film historians and critics, and save your seat for a one-of-a-kind murder mystery dinner.
