The JBFC was thrilled to welcome actress Alicia Silverstone and designer Christian Siriano to the Theater on Wednesday, November 12 for a sold-out 30th anniversary screening of Amy Heckerling’s beloved work Clueless.
Following the sold-out screening and a sizzle reel that paid tribute to Alicia’s legendary career, the icon herself joined Moderator Leslie Ziff onstage for a wide-ranging discussion that touched on everything from her mother’s
Clueless cameo and the film’s lasting legacy to her work in film, television, theater, and activism on behalf of animal rights and environmental sustainability.
Paying homage to
Clueless’ seminal style, fashion designer and longtime friend of Alicia Christian Siriano also joined her onstage, offering his highly entertaining takes on the film’s cultural caché and sharing stories of their fabulous, fashion-forward friendship.
To cap off the evening, our special guests mingled with audience members during a reception in Take 3 Wine Bar & Café, raising a glass to toast Alicia’s career and her role in a comedy that defined a generation.
