The Seven Year Itch

Directed by Billy Wilder (Some Like it Hot) and co-written by Wilder and George Axelrod (Breakfast at Tiffany’s), The Seven Year Itch features one of Marilyn Monroe’s most enduringly iconic performances.

When his wife and son head to Maine for a summer vacation, a hitherto faithful publishing executive (Tom Ewell) stays at home in New York, where he is consumed by increasingly overwhelming desire for his beautiful new neighbor (Monroe).

"One of Marilyn Monroe's indispensable films."
Jeffrey M. Anderson, Combustible Celluloid
"So arresting is Monroe's presence that when she's not on-screen, we wait impatiently, wondering, Where have you gone, Mrs. DiMaggio?"
Melissa Anderson, Village Voice

This film is part of the Marilyn Monroe at 100 series.
