Reckonings

A special sneak preview! From award-winning filmmaker Roberta Grossman (Who Will Write Our History, JFF 2019), Reckonings explores the untold true story of the Luxembourg Agreements of 1952. This revelatory film recounts the tense months of back-and-forth between Jewish and German leaders in the aftermath of the Holocaust. Gathered at a hidden castle near the Hague, under constant threat of violence and with talks breaking down at every turn, they pushed to arrange compensation and reparations for the Jewish people, knowing it would never be enough but hoping for an acknowledgment, a recognition, and a step towards healing.
