Adult Course at the Lab | 9 Days (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) | July 7–July 24, 2025

Screenwriting & Story Workshop is designed for writers looking to practice the craft of screenwriting in nine intensive sessions across three weeks. Mondays will be for learning concepts and techniques along with screenwriting examples, short films, and movie clips. Wednesdays and Thursdays will consist of table reads of student screenwriting exercises followed by discussion and critique. Newcomers and experienced writers are invited to join us for a fun and educational summer session. Writers will be expected to handle screenwriting software installation, formatting work on the page, and uploading files to share in class.

Join us for Writing the Short Screenplay, an intensive, eight-week screenwriting workshop. Discuss story structure, explore character craft, learn how to write dialogue, and more. Writers will work on a series of weekly exercises leading up to a complete 10-12 page short script which will be shared for a class critique. Newcomers and experienced writers are welcome to join these weekly, productive script sessions.
