Fantastic Mr. Fox is a funny, family friendly, fundamentally FANTASTIC stop-motion film directed by, Wes Anderson. Mr. Fox, his wife, Mrs.Fox, his son Ash, and Kristofferson, Mr.Fox’s nephew who came to visit, all live a normal life in their home under a tree. But, after 2 years, Mr. Fox’s yearning to steal food has come back, even though Mrs. Fox hasn’t allowed it since they had Ash and found a new home. One night, Mr. Fox and his best friend, Kylie, sneak into the farmers Boggis, Bunce, and Beans property and steal food, putting his family and community in grave danger. The farmers want revenge so they shoot Mr. Fox’s tail and blow up the area around their home. Mrs. Fox is mad since he has broken his promise, and she goes in search of the rest of the animals. Once they are reunited, they steal food from the farmers’ properties and Kristofferson and Ash sneak into Mr.Bean home to get Mr.Fox’s tail back. In the house, Kristofferson gets caught and put in a cage. Mr. Fox makes a plan to get Kristofferson back, and the other animals distract the farmers while Mr. Fox, Ash, and Kylie rescue Kristofferson. In the end, Mr. Fox gets enough food for everyone! Overall it is an astonishing film with a strong the moral: do not lie or steal because there will be consequences. I most definitely recommend it for families.
