Jacob Burns Film Center to Receive $30,000 Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts

Pleasantville, NYFebruary 21, 2019 — The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) just announced that the Jacob Burns Film Center (JBFC), a nonprofit cultural arts center and one of the most successful suburban film houses in the country, was chosen to receive an Art Works grant of $30,000. The grant will be used to support The Power of Film: Community Engagement and Dialogue, which strengthens JBFC’s commitment to creating a vibrant and connected community by fostering meaningful discussions and cross-cultural awareness through featured series. By integrating special guests and audience engagement opportunities, the Power of Film introduces the public to a wealth of ideas and brings awareness to issues of both local and international significance.
