The Beatles: Eight Days a Week—The Touring Years

Q&A filmmaker Ron Howard with JBFC Board President Janet Maslin

The smash sensation of our fall  movie season, The Beatles: Eight Days a Week – The Touring Years returns to the JBFC screen for a very special evening with two-time Academy Award-winning filmmaker—and JBFC board member—Ron Howard! Working with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono Lennon, and Olivia Harrison, Ron Howard created this fascinating behind-the- scenes documentary look at the early years of The Beatles (1962–66). Endlessly entertaining, Eight Days A Week features great personal Beatles memories from not only Paul and Ringo, but Elvis Costello, Whoopi Goldberg, Eddie Izzard, Sigourney Weaver, and Richard Lester, as well as rare and never-before-seen footage of the Fab Four.

For this screening, we will not be showing the full 30 minutes of the Shea Stadium concert that normally follows the credits.
