Extended Introduction with Ron Howard on August 28 at 9:00pm

In the mid-1970s, charismatic English playboy James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and Austrian perfectionist Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) share an intense rivalry in Formula 1 racing. Driving vehicles that are little more than gas-filled bombs on wheels, Hunt and Lauda burn up the track, all the while pushing themselves to the breaking point of physical and mental endurance. Meanwhile, the women in their lives (Olivia Wilde, Alexandra Maria Lara) can only watch as both drivers risk death with every lap.

Ticket Pricing:
August 28 screening with extended introduction from Ron Howard: $30 (members), $35 (nonmembers)
September 1 screening: $11 (members), $16 (nonmembers)

"In a way, Howard has made a philosophical drama about the way men move through the world. It’s just a really, really fast drama."
Ty Burr, Boston Globe
"Not just one of the great racing movies of all time, but a virtuoso feat of filmmaking in its own right, elevated by two of the year’s most compelling performances."
Peter Debruge, Variety
