Royal Opera House Live: Manon

A staple of the Royal Ballet’s repertory and a touchstone of dramatic dance, Manon is the tragic story of a penniless young woman who has love, but nothing else. Former Artistic Director Kenneth MacMillan choreographed spectacular ensemble scenes for the whole company, but Manon and her lover’s emotional pas de deux—which recalls the intensity of MacMillan’s Romeo and Juliet—makes this one of his most powerful works.
