Paradise is There

Rescheduled from the previously announced Sounds of Summer screening on July 23rd.

A reprise—for those who missed the film when it sold out earlier this year! This memoir-style documentary chronicles the release of Natalie Merchant’s latest album, Paradise is There: The New Tigerlily Recordings, for which she rerecorded the 11 songs from her multi-platinum 1995 solo debut, Tigerlily. Merchant’s entire musical life is touched on in this very personal film, which digs deep into the music through live performances, archival footage, and interviews. Her fellow musicians, friends, and impassioned fans share how Tigerlily’s songs“Carnival,” “River,” “Wonder,” “The Letter,” and more—have influenced them, and they speak to how the power of music itself affects us in profound, lasting, and uplifting ways.

This film is part of the Sounds of Summer: New Music Documentaries series.
