Our Song follows best friends Lanisha (Kerry Washington), Maria (Melissa Martinez), and Joycelyn (Anna Simpson), each a member of their high school’s marching band, through the hot streets of Crown Heights during the closing weeks of one fateful summer. Featuring the on-screen debuts of Washington, Martinez, and Simpson—director Jim McKay’s coming-of-age classic is a stunning, lyrical portrait of female friendship.
