This year, we are celebrating 25 years of The Burns.
For many of you, The Burns has been a place you return to over many years. You come for the films, but also for the feeling of being here together, and for the way this community continues to show up for all of us.
To mark this anniversary and thank those who’ve been there for us over the years, we’re running a special raffle, giving members a chance to win a free year of film! One lucky member will receive a year of free movies—plus a guest seat at every screening—on us.
Additionally, ten members will take home a year of free popcorn, and twenty-five more will receive exclusive Burns swag.
All patrons with active JBFC memberships as of June 21 will be automatically entered—no sign-up needed. We will announce the lucky winners on June 22.

Free ticket eligibility does not guarantee ticket availability for any given screening; screenings are subject to sell out if tickets are not redeemed or purchased in advance. Free tickets hold no cash value and cannot be exchanged or returned for refund/credit/payment. Free ticket(s) are non-transferable and for the named free ticket winner only. Winner must present ID at Box Office with free winner card to redeem offer. Offer eligibility expires a year from issuance of the free ticket winner pass.

RAFFLE PRIZES & ELIGIBILITY: We will pull a list of active JBFC members as of June 21, and announce winners on June 22.
- One (1) member wins a free year of movies
- Ten (10) members win a free year of popcorn
- Twenty-five (25) additional members win JBFC anniversary swag (for example, a hat)
- Confirmation: The free ticket and free popcorn winners will be notified via email on June 22 and will receive special cards printed with their names and the restrictions noted, with promo code for free tickets winner noted on card. These cards are non-transferable.
- Redemption: Winning member can redeem tickets online or in-person at the box office with their free winner card. Winners of free popcorn can present their card at concessions to receive up to one (1) free popcorn per day.
- “A free year of movies” grand prize includes regular, member-priced screenings, but not special event tickets. Winner gets regular-priced screenings for free – any performance that includes the Member_Regular price type; that does include Premium Screenings (NT Live), 3D Screenings, 35mm screenings. Winners are not eligible to receive tickets to special, speaker, or reception events with the Member_Event price types for free.
- Winner can get up to two (2) free tickets per screening. They can redeem their free tickets online, or Box Office Staff can use the promo code printed on the winner’s card for in-person purchases.
