From the Ground Up | 25 Years After 9/11

The Burns marked the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with a screening of From the Ground Up, followed by a conversation with producer Andrea Garbarini and film subjects Una McHugh and Maureen Fanning, moderated by JBFC Founder Stephen Apkon. The documentary follows five New York firefighters’ widows as they support one another, raise their families, and find ways to honor their husbands.
