ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Arrival: Buses must arrive at the JBFC Media Arts Lab by 9:30 am.

Departure: Once the workshop is over, students must remain seated in the screening room until the bus arrives. When the bus is on site, students will be directed to exit the screening room and go straight to the bus.

POPCORN

Our concession stand will be closed, however, individual bags of popcorn will be served to students, teachers, and chaperones for all school program events. Drinks will not be served, but guests are welcome to bring their own water bottles.

We encourage students to consume and leave any previous food or drink items on the bus. Lunch will not be provided and unfortunately we do not have a space for groups of students to eat lunch after the event.

CAPACITY AND BUSING

Capacity: Please note, the maximum number of students allowed to attend one workshop is 50.

In addition to teachers, we ask that 6 parent chaperones accompany the students for each visit.

Busing: Schools are responsible for booking their own transportation. The JBFC will cover the cost of at least one bus per trip, as will be determined by our financial capacity, for under-resourced schools. Schools are required to make their own bus arrangements and let the bus company know it is third party billing. ALL bus invoices must be received by the JBFC within 60 days following a school’s last event date in order to be paid. Our organization recognizes a school as under-resourced if a minimum of 35% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Funding for subsidized buses is limited and on a first come, first served basis.

PAYMENT

The cost of this workshop is $15 per student per visit (a total of 3 visits) or FREE for under-resourced schools. The JBFC recognizes a school as under-resourced if a minimum of 35% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Paying schools will be sent an invoice after the event. Payment must be received within 30 days after receiving the invoice. No refunds will be issued once payment has been received.

CANCELLATIONS

If a school cancels after payment has been received, we will reschedule for the next available date. If a workshop is cancelled by the JBFC, we will reschedule for the next available date.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

  • MASKS ARE OPTIONAL FOR ALL VISITORS AND JBFC STAFF
