Creative Culture Network

Introducing the Creative Culture Network

Creative Culture Network is an online hub of support for filmmakers far and wide. This online community will respond to the needs of filmmakers and aggregate resources and opportunities currently available in the film industry.

All Creative Culture programs are guided by an ethic of collaboration and care. By practicing mutual support, we believe we can combat a culture of competition that pervades our industry, and foster a more inclusive and supportive filmmaking community. To start, the Creative Culture Network will take the form of a monthly newsletter and this up-to-date web page aggregating resources and opportunities. As we grow the Creative Culture Network, we will expand our offerings for filmmakers to connect and share skills, knowledge, and resources.

Supporting filmmakers in response to COVID-19

We are launching the Creative Culture Network during a time of tremendous uncertainty on so many fronts. The current moment demands that we work together to support and protect each other, and especially the most vulnerable among us. We know that as a community, artists and filmmakers, who so often work in an already precarious freelance economy, have been hit particularly hard by the economic impact of the pandemic. We have compiled a number of resources on this page to help you navigate the challenges of living as a filmmaker in this moment.

We are grateful to our colleagues at other artist support organizations and all others who have contributed in creating the funding opportunities, resources, and other support materials listed below. If we pool our resources together, our arts community can come out of this crisis healthy and thriving.

This page will be updated regularly as we learn of new offerings. If you find an offering or resource that may be particularly helpful to friends or peers, we urge you to share it with us at creativeculture@burnsfilmcenter.org
