School Break Camps 2020

NEW for 2020!

We are pleased to offer two new school break camps for students in grades 5 – 8. Explore a range of media as you watch and review films in February, or learn how to make a short film from start to finish in April!

On the Set: April 6 – 10

Time to make a movie! Campers write, direct, film, and edit a short film in a professional environment. Working in a group, you’ll learn to pitch and develop ideas, storyboard, design light and sound, and edit with Adobe Premiere Pro. This filmmaking immersion is an opportunity to see a short project through from concept to completion.

A typical day includes:

  • 8:45 am: Drop-off
  • 9:00 am: Filmmaking projects
  • 10:45 am – 11:00 am: Snack and Break
  • 12:00 pm: Lunch and play
  • 12:45 pm: Filmmaking projects
  • 2:30 pm – 2:45 pm: Snack and break
  • 4:00 pm: Pickup

Viewing and Doing: February 17 – 21

Play, make, and explore new types of media each day in a small group and come together with fellow campers to watch and review films. Campers dig into film-related games and activities in our production spaces and explore a range of media, including animation, film, sound, and gaming.
