Scholarship Information

Public Education Programs

Spaces are reserved in every course for participants who demonstrate financial need.  We encourage everyone to seek the support that will allow them to participate in JBFC programs.  Full and partial scholarships are available.

Please complete the winter/spring registration form and then download and submit the scholarship application form.

Once downloaded, complete and then email, fax, or mail the scholarship application and requested documentation to:

School & Community Organization Programs

We encourage you to seek financial support through your school, school district, PTA, or district foundation to participate in our professional development opportunities. If those options are not viable, we offer a full subsidy for educators at schools where 35% or more students receive free or reduced lunch. To apply for subsidy, please complete the Educator Scholarship Application online.

The JBFC will waive the participation fee and reimburse all transportation costs for Image, Sound, and Story Student Screenings and Classroom to Screening Room events for schools in which a minimum of 35% of students qualify for a free or reduced lunch through the National School Lunch Program (according to the New York State Department of Education). We encourage all schools, regardless of financial circumstances, to participate in our programs and we will do our best to meet your needs. A ticket request form is required for attendance and subsidy application. Qualifications for subsidy will be approved by the JBFC.
