2021 was an unpredictable and exciting year for movies, and we are thrilled that there were 89 Oscar nominations awarded to films we have shown (or will be showing) at JBFC! We welcomed filmmaker Pablo Larraín for a screening of his film Spencer, which garnered Kristen Stewart a nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role; following the successful summer run of Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised) at the JBFC Theater, we welcomed filmmaker Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, editor Joshua Pearson, and producer Joseph Patel for a one-night-only screening this winter, just before they received nominations for Best Documentary (Feature). In between, we screened nominees as wide-ranging as The Power of the Dog, West Side Story, Licorice Pizza, and Drive My Car. Cast your vote for your chance to win!

*OFFICIAL RULES:

1. HOW TO ENTER: To enter, complete the official entry form, providing your name and email address. You must make a selection in all 24 categories to qualify for the drawing. Incomplete entries will not be counted. All entries must be received by 11:59 am, Eastern Time, on March 27, 2022. Limited to one entry per person. Employees of the JBFC are ineligible to enter the drawing.

2. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Prize winner will be notified by email on March 28, 2022. If there is a tie, we will use the tie breaker question to select one grand prize winner.

3. Grand Prize is a private screening in The Adam R. Rose & Peter R. McQuillan Theater for up to 31 people. Screening must be booked in advance, and the film selection must be a New Release title that the JBFC is already screening. Each person in the party gets a free popcorn and soda. Screening must be scheduled by August 31, 2022 for a time slot that falls within Monday through Thursday, 1:00-7:00 pm. Everyone in the party must follow the JBFC’s required safety protocols.
