From Best Picture contenders to breakout performances and unforgettable documentaries, this year’s Oscars celebrate the films that defined the cinematic conversation. At The Burns, we’ve screened many of them — and hosted the artists behind them.

Reflecting on a Remarkable Year at The Burns
In 2025, the cinematic landscape surged with some of the most celebrated and history-making films in recent memory, and The Burns was proud to bring many of them to our screens.
Over the past year, The Burns hosted unforgettable conversations with artists whose work shaped the awards season — from director Kaouther Ben Hania for The Voice of Hind Rajab and Palme d’Or winner Jafar Panahi for It Was Just an Accident, to Hamnet costume designer and Oscar nominee Malgosia Turzanska. We welcomed Marty Supreme collaborators Darius Khondji and Jack Fisk for a craft conversation, Train Dreams director Clint Bentley and cinematographer Adolpho Veloso, and no fewer than three Best Documentary Feature nominees: Josh Seftel (All the Empty Rooms), Alisa Payne (The Perfect Neighbor), and Ryan White and Jessica Hargrave (Come See Me in the Good Light).
Our screens also showcased an extraordinary lineup of Best Picture contenders, including Sinners, One Battle After Another, Marty Supreme, Hamnet, Sentimental Value, Bugonia, The Secret Agent, and Frankenstein. And of course, our annual Oscar Shorts programs returned, drawing enthusiastic audiences in the lead-up to the March 15 ceremony.
At The Burns, awards season isn’t just something we watch. It’s something we experience together.
*Official Rules
HOW TO ENTER: To enter, complete the official entry form, providing your name and email address. You must make a selection in all categories to qualify for the drawing. Incomplete entries will not be counted. All entries must be received by 11:59 am, Eastern Time, on March 15, 2026. Limited to one entry per person. Employees of the JBFC are ineligible to enter the drawing.
WINNER NOTIFICATION: Grand Prize winner will be notified by email by March 17th, 2026. If there is a tie, we will use the tie breaker question to select one grand prize winner.
GRAND PRIZE: The lucky winner will receive a Popcorn Pass good for one free large popcorn with their ticket purchase valid from April 1, 2026, through March 30, 2027. The pass is nontransferable, has no cash value, and valid for the named winner only.
