59th New York Film Festival Partners With JBFC To Bring The Festival To New Audiences

New York Film Festival at the JBFC: Sept. 27-29

“It’s been a longtime wish for us to partner with one of the great cultural happenings of the fall—the New York Film Festival from Film At Lincoln Center—and we are thrilled to announce that this year, that wish is coming true!” —Brian Ackerman, JBFC Founding Director of Film Programming

The JBFC is delighted to collaborate with Film at Lincoln Center for their 59th New York Film Festival. Four films featured in the festival will be screened at the JBFC on September 27, 28, and 29. Tickets will go on sale as a Priority Purchase on Tuesday, September 7 at noon ET.

More from our colleagues at Film at Lincoln Center:

Film at Lincoln Center announces an expanded footprint for the 59th New York Film Festival (September 24 – October 10), partnering with local arthouse theaters to bring NYFF59 films to new audiences.

NYFF has partnered with Anthology Film Archives (East Village), Brooklyn Academy of Music (Fort Greene, Brooklyn), Jacob Burns Film Center (Pleasantville, Westchester), and Maysles Documentary Center (Harlem) to screen a selection of films from the 59th edition throughout the festival; a complete list of films and showtimes is below. These screenings allow filmmakers to share their work with passionate filmgoers across New York, and provide flexibility for movie lovers citywide and beyond.

Director of NYFF Eugene Hernandez said, “Last year, NYFF brought drive-in screenings to Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx, ensuring that New Yorkers could attend the festival safely. But expanding to neighborhoods beyond the Upper West Side was something we’d wanted to do for a long time, and we’re pleased to evolve this new tradition for 2021 by partnering with four nonprofit cinemas. Thank you to our friends at Anthology, BAM, Maysles, and Burns Film Center for working with us to connect the festival to new places and people!”
