JBFC Mixtapes is an initiative from the Burns to highlight the music—from soundtracks to scores—that makes the cinematic experience so special. Our eighth installment comes from JBFC Marketing Associate Paige Grand Pré, who put together a “Dazed & Confused” playlist to not only celebrate the inaugural “JBFC Brat Pack” event from last month, but also get you ready to rock at Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains the Same on July 14 during our annual Sounds of Summer series. She writes:

On Thursday, May 31, we welcomed members of our new group for young fans of the Burns, the “JBFC Brat Pack,” to the JBFC theater for our inaugural Brat Pack event! After kicking off with a screening of cult classic Dazed & Confused (Linklater, 1993), the evening continued with a reception featuring snacks, desserts, free refreshments from JBFC sponsor Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, a Dazed & Confused-themed coloring station, and one groovy photobooth. Vol. 8 of the JBFC Mixtapes features the playlist heard during the reception: a Led-Zeppelin-heavy mix interspersed with songs from the Dazed & Confused soundtrack, as well as some era-appropriate jams from 1976 (the year in which the film takes place), PLUS a few bonus surprises to get you excited for Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains the Same on July 14! Listen live to Vol. 8 of the JBFC Mixtapes below, or save the playlist in Spotify to listen offline later:
