Made in Manhattan, the cartoons of Dave and Max Fleischer captured the distinct melting-pot flavor of the city streets. Filled with jazz music, ethnic accents, and unmistakable references to the Fleischers’ Jewish immigrant background, their cartoons teemed with urban energy. Independent, confident, and sassy, Betty Boop emerged as the Fleischers’ biggest star, and one of the most enduring heroines in cartoon history. This selection of her finest films (plus an early KoKo the Clown cartoon) is presented in newly restored versions from Fabulous Fleischer Cartoons Restored.

Featuring:

Cartoon Factory (1924)
Minnie The Moocher (1932)
Betty Boop For President (1932)
Betty Boop’s Bizzy Bee (1932)
Betty Boop’s Museum (1932)
Betty Boop’s Penthouse (1933)
Mother Goose Land (1933)
