The Death of Robin Hood

Opens June 19

Writer/director Michael Sarnoski (Pig) reimagines the folk hero Robin Hood (Hugh Jackman; Logan) as a ruthless highwayman exhausted after a long life of killing. After barely surviving a brutal fight he thought would be his last, he is offered the chance to begin a new life at an isolated priory led by a mysterious holy woman (Jodie Comer; The Last Duel).

"[Hugh Jackman] is a godsend in the title role. Much like Cage’s sheer unpredictability elevated every moment of Pig, so, too, does Jackman’s eternally sturdy on-screen presence."
Barry Hertz, Globe and Mail
"It’s an inventive take on Robin Hood to strip away the merry men, nasty sheriffs, and pining love interests. This presentation is much more somber, yet in a way that conveys a far greater significance. It’s what turns what could have been a needless adaptation into a profound experience."
Josh Parham, Next Best Picture
