The Chef: Program 2

Program 2: (Episodes 6 – 9)

New York premiere! We’re proud to present the first season of the buzzed-about Israeli TV sensation The Chef, from the award-winning producers of Fauda (JFF 2016) and Shtisel.

When 44-year-old former IT worker Nimrod needs a new job, he starts as a lowly prep cook at a trendy Tel Aviv restaurant where the brilliant, driven chef is struggling to keep his place atop the gastronomic world. For Nimrod, cooking professionally is much harder than he expected, —but dealing with his new boss is a whole other challenge. With gorgeous photography, deft writing, and excellent performances, this multi-award-winning exploration of toxic masculinity and the fragility of the male ego is not to be missed.

9 episodes (38 m. each) Created by Erez Kavel and Orit Dabush

“The Chef is buoyantly entertaining, even when it descends into dark places, and the cast is excellent. It’s a series that transcends international borders”
