Support the Girls

Lisa (Regina Hall) is the last person you’d expect to find in a highway-side “sports bar with curves,” but as general manager at Double Whammies, she’s come to love the place and its customers. An instinctive den mother, she nurtures and protects her ‘girls’ on the staff fiercely—but over the course of one trying day, her optimism is battered from every direction. Double Whammies makes its money selling a big, weird American fantasy, but what happens when reality pokes a bunch of holes in that dream?

Tickets: $10 (members), $15 (nonmembers)

"Somehow manages to do it all, and in the form of a breezy, heartwarming workplace comedy to boot"
David Sims, The Atlantic
"[Regina] Hall is a revelation"
Kevin Maher, Times
"A remarkably compassionate portrait of American womanhood that inspires hope without denying reality"
Clarisse Loughrey, Independent

This film is part of the Magnolia Pictures @ 20 series.
