Shine a Light

Book talk with author Bob Spitz

Celebrate one of the greatest rock bands of all time with this electrifying concert film from legendary director Martin Scorsese.

Filmed at New York’s historic Beacon Theatre, Scorsese captures The Rolling Stones with stunning intimacy—presenting unforgettable performances of classic hits alongside behind-the-scenes moments and guest appearances from musicians Jack White, Christina Aguilera, and Buddy Guy. Shine a Light is a celebration of decades of music, charisma, and rebellion which shows why the band remains one of the most thrilling live acts ever to perform.

Renowned music author Bob Spitz will be in conversation about his brand-new book, The Rolling Stones: the Biography, after the film.

Copies of Bob’s book will be available for sale, courtesy of The Village Bookstore.

"May be the most intimate documentary ever made about a live rock 'n' roll concert."
Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times
"This you-are-there spellbinder is a master director shining his light on the best rock band on the planet."
Peter Travers, Rolling Stone
