Shaolin Soccer is an over-the-top sports comedy classic that could only have come from the mind of Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle): a filmmaker beloved for pushing the already outstanding spectacle of Hong Kong martial arts cinema to its extremes. Chow stars as a Shaolin kung fu master who is convinced by a disgraced athlete to share his martial arts abilities with the world by playing soccer. Soon, he gathers his fellow martial artists, and the newly formed Team Shaolin dominate the field. The only ones who can match their prowess in the ultimate tournament are the dreaded Team Evil: cheaters who use underhanded techniques to try to take the heroes down.
