Shanghai Noon

Presented in 35mm

“Shanghai Noon is, in classic western tradition, a celebration of male bonding, unabashedly juvenile, boyishly risque and disarmingly sweet.” (New York Times)

Jackie Chan plays Chon Wang, a Chinese Imperial guard brought to Nevada circa the early 1850s in pursuit of Princess Pei Pei (Lucy Liu) who has been kidnapped by a Chinese slave trader. In Nevada, Wang bumps into a charismatic con man named Roy O’Bannon (Owen Wilson) and enlists his help to navigate the dangers of the American West.

This film is part of the Saddle Up Saturdays with Jonathan Demme series.
