I’m Not Running is an explosive new play by David Hare, who excels at writing political dramas loosely based on real events(The Absence of War, Gethsemane). Pauline Gibson (Sian Brooke) is a doctor who finds herself pulled into politics. When she crosses paths with her old boyfriend, a stalwart Labour Party loyalist, she’s faced with an agonizing decision. The play ultimately asks if it’s possible to stay true to one’s moral beliefs and still make a difference.
