Nightmare Alley

Academy Award-winning director Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth) returns with this remake of the 1947 film noir classic. When charismatic but down-on-his-luck Stanton Carlisle (Bradley Cooper, A Star Is Born) endears himself to clairvoyant Zeena (Toni Collette, Knives Out) and her has-been mentalist husband Pete (David Strathairn, Nomadland) at a traveling carnival, he crafts a golden ticket to success, using his newly-acquired knowledge to grift the wealthy elite of 1940s New York society. With the virtuous Molly (Rooney Mara, A Ghost Story) loyally at his side, Stanton plots to con a dangerous tycoon (Richard Jenkins, The Shape of Water) with the aid of a mysterious psychiatrist (Cate Blanchett, Carol), who might be his most formidable opponent yet.
