Winner of the People’s Choice award at the Toronto International Film Festival 2019
Writer/director Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, Hunt for the Wilderpeople), brings his signature mix of humor and pathos to his latest, a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy whose world is turned upside down when he discovers his mother (Scarlett Johansson, Her) is hiding a Jewish girl in their attic. Aided only by his imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (the weird and whimsical Waititi himself), Jojo must confront his blind nationalism. We’re excited about this offbeat, wonderful film, one of the year’s most anticipated titles.
