I Play Rocky

Preview screening and Q&A with actor Tracy Letts on Nov. 8

From Academy Award-winner Peter Farrelly (Green Book), I Play Rocky tells the electrifying true story about an unknown actor with an unshakable belief that he wasn’t just meant to write Rocky—he was meant to be Rocky Balboa. Told “no” at every turn, Sylvester Stallone (played by newcomer Anthony Ippolito) bets everything on himself, holding the line on playing the lead against seemingly impossible odds. The result is the ultimate underdog story behind the ultimate underdog movie. Also starring Tracy Letts, Jay Duplass, AnnaSophia Robb, and Matt Dillon.

I Play Rocky opens for a run on November 20.

"I Play Rocky is a resounding success, one that captures that hopeful positivity and ingenuity that made Rocky the iconic movie it is. "
Therese Lacson, Collider
"Ippolito... nails the garbled, rumbling diction, hangdog expression and hulking physicality of Stallone while never losing sight of his insecurities at this unproven point in his career."
David Rooney, The Hollywood Reporter
