When Jack (Keegan-Michael Key, Keanu, Comedy Central’s Key and Peele), a member of a popular New York City improv troupe, gets cast on a hit Saturday Night Live-type TV show, the rest of the group start to realize that not everyone on the team is going to make it in the world of comedy after all. From writer/director Mike Birbiglia (Sleepwalk With Me) and producer Ira Glass (This American Life), Don’t Think Twice is a funny and affecting look into the world of professional funny people—a film that explores what happens when our friends become successful, and when the rest of us realize it might be time to give up the dream. Featuring a talented and hysterical supporting cast including Birbiglia, Gillian Jacobs (NBC’s Community, Netflix’s Love), Kate Micucci (IFC’s Garfunkel and Oates), Chris Gethard (Comedy Central’s Broad City), and Tami Sagher (Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer, HBO’s Girls), Don’t Think Twice is an unexpectedly touching peek behind the curtain at the lives of the people who make us laugh.
