Closure

Opens Nov. 6—Preview and Q&A with filmmaker Michał Marczak on Nov. 3

After his teenage son, Chris, is last seen by a surveillance camera on a bridge over Warsaw’s turbulent Vistula River, Daniel embarks on an all-consuming search. Armed with self-built boats, drones, and underwater cameras, he relentlessly scours the river’s depths. As months pass, while his own family struggles to live with the uncertainty of Chris’s disappearance, Daniel begins helping other families with missing loved ones find answers — and, at times, the closure that continues to elude him.

"Marczak’s film becomes not just a document of a hunt but a psychological portrait of loss and a family’s attempts to come to terms with that."
Amber Wilkinson, Screen Daily
"[Closure] is a testament to a parent’s unwavering love and their willingness to do whatever it takes to bring their child home."
Ema Sasic, Next Best Picture
