Set in the 1930s, Café Society is a bittersweet romantic tale that follows Bronx-born Bobby Dorfman (Jesse Eisenberg, The Squid and the Whale, The End of the Tour), who makes his way to Hollywood in search of glitz and glamour. Through his big shot, movie studio executive uncle Phil (Steve Carell, The Big Short, Foxcatcher), he meets, falls in love with, and gets rejected by a woman named Vonnie (Kristen Stewart, Clouds of Sils Maria). Heartbroken, Bobby returns to New York and is swept up in the vibrant world of high society nightclub life. Boasting a star-studded cast and charming performances, Woody Allen’s newest feature serves as a loving tribute to an era of debutantes, playboys, gangsters, and movie stars.
