Pride: A Celebration of Queer Stories 2025
June 12–29, 2025
At a time when LGBTQ+ rights across the world are under attack, the Jacob Burns Film Center proudly presents Pride: A Celebration of Queer Stories—a series exploring love, identity, and resilience.
We open the series with our annual Pride Parking Lot Party, followed by a screening of the Oscar-winning The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert starring Guy Pearce as you’ve never seen him before! We’ll venture to the rugged English countryside for God’s Own Country, a beautiful story of love and self-acceptance starring Josh O’Connor. We’ll host a special Community Matters screening of The Miseducation of Cameron Post, followed by a panel discussion on LGBTQ+ rights in 2025, featuring The LOFT LGBTQ+ Center and other panelists (free for members), and welcome director Sandi DuBowski for a Q&A following a screening of his new documentary Sabbath Queen, exploring queer Jewish identity. Don’t miss a 10th anniversary screening of Sean Baker’s brilliant Tangerine and we’ll close out the series with a special day of family programming with a shorts package from the New York International Children’s Film Festival (Ages 9+) and a FREE Drag Queen Story Time event with Dee Dee (Ages 4+).
