Jonathan Demme's Rarely Seen Cinema, 2005–2017

For 12 years at the Jacob Burns Film Center, Jonathan Demme hosted a wild and eclectic series of films encompassing the full range of his cinematic passions and impulses. He scheduled them between his other film and life projects, but always returned, reliably, recharged, and ready to offer up a new slate of Sunday afternoon screenings—and we were always thrilled to get the call. –Brian Ackerman, JBFC Founding Director of Programming
