Image, Sound, and Story Professional Development

Inspired by our commitment to raising the next generation of visual storytellers, Image, Sound, and Story prepares teachers to integrate viewing and creating media into their literacy instruction and classroom culture. JBFC faculty lead these transformative two-day experiences, which will provide hands-on training for teachers including content, support and practice with technology, and creative collaboration. All sessions are held at the JBFC’s Media Arts Lab and run from 8:30am-3:30pm.

  • Grades 3-5: October 23-24, 2019
  • Grades 6-8: November 14 & 19, 2019

Fees and Financial Support

$375/teacher, $325 per teacher for teams of 4 or more.

We are eager to provide financial assistance to enable your participation and we actively raise funds from individuals, foundations, and corporations to offset participation fees. We encourage you to seek support through your school, school district, district foundation, or other special arrangement as well. If those options are not viable, please complete an application for financial support.

Documentation of participation will be provided for teachers seeking in-service or salary credit.
