Winter and Spring Break Camps at the JBFC

by Adrienne Frank, JBFC Education Outreach Coordinator

Looking for activities to keep your kids entertained in Westchester over the winter and spring school breaks? We’ve got you covered!

Students in Grades 5-8 can join us for Viewing and Doing (Feb. 17-21, 2020) or On the Set (April 6-10, 2020). These daily mini-camps are a great opportunity for young film fans to explore movies from the inside out!

In Viewing and Doing, students will watch and review feature films in a large group, then break out into small groups to explore hands-on media making, including animation, sound, gaming, and filmmaking.

In On the Set, students will work together to make a short film from start to finish, learning along the way about screenwriting, cinematography, editing, and more!

Both camps run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm every day and are held at the Jacob Burns Film Center’s Media Arts Lab at 405 Manville Rd., Pleasantville, NY.

Check out our School Break Camp page for all details, including pricing, scholarships, and registration. Space is limited so register today!
