For many years, a man and woman have struggled to survive in a barren and lonely wilderness, in this haunting and mysterious new film by Thomas Woodrow. Each night, the man (Aaron Stanford, SyFy’s 12 Monkeys) tells the story of their lost home, forever promising that it’s over the next horizon. When the couple stumbles upon the ruins of a vanished society, they find food and shelter. The woman (Louisa Krause, Showtime’s Billions) wants to push on towards home, but the man reveals that “home” was just a story – a lie to keep them going. As tensions escalate, they encounter a silent and immobile stranger (Doug Jones, The Shape of Water) deep within the buildings, who has a compelling, sinister appeal for each of them…

Thomas Woodrow attended the MFA film program at NYU, where he produced more than 10 short films, twice winning the Producing Award. He then produced True Adolescents (dir. Craig Johnson, The Skeleton Twins) and Bass Ackwards, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival’s inaugural NEXT category in 2010. He was instrumental in the development of The Skeleton Twins, taking the project to the Sundance Producing Lab.

Tamara Fisch is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker, who made her directing debut with the short Resolutions (2017). Fisch has over 15 years of experience in theater, with a focus on developing new American plays. World premiere productions include Amy Herzog’s After the Revolution (Williamstown Theater Festival), Lucy Boyle’s Girls’ School Gothic (Hangar Theatre), and Stephen Karam’s musical Emma (PPAS). Other directing credits include Amy Herzog’s Hungry, David Mamet’s Race, and Tom Stoppard’s Arcadia.
