In one of his last performances, multiple Emmy Award–winner Ed Asner plays lonely Holocaust survivor Samuel, who forges an unlikely friendship with Casey, an unloved skinhead teenage runaway who finds herself destitute in New York City. Despite their respective traumas and initial mutual mistrust, Samuel and Casey build a powerful bond that provides a sense of connection and support for them both. This absorbing drama sparks larger questions about family, love, and our divided world.
