The acclaimed new film follows the magnetic Alan Rabinowitz, one of the top big cat conservation biologists in the world, as he travels through the only tiger habitat he has never explored. While it is celebrated in folk legends and mythologies, the tiger is greatly threatened—fewer than 3,200 survive in the wild. This revealing documentary explores the tenuous relationship between the powerful predator and the people of the Sundarbans (in Eastern India and Bangladesh) who pose not only the greatest threat to the cat’s survival, but also represent its greatest hope.
