The Fog

45th Anniversary Screening

From one of the masters of horror, don’t miss John Carpenter’s The Fog for this special 45th anniversary screening.

A strange, glowing fog rolls over a small coastal town one hundred years after a mysterious shipwreck and when vengeful ghosts go on a killing spree, residents look for answers even as they try to survive. Starring Adrienne Barbeau, Hal Holbrook, Janet Leigh, and returning Halloween scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis, The Fog is a haunting tale of revenge scored by Carpenter and co-written by the director and his longtime collaborator Debra Hill.

Studiocanal’s 4K restoration was made from the original camera negative, with color grading approved by the film’s cinematographer, Dean Cundey.

"Ghoulish, tense and utterly fantastical, John Carpenter's tale of shipwrecked spectres squelching their way through a fluorescent fog to wreak vengeance on a seaside town is a classic campfire yarn."
Will Lawrence, Empire
"The Fog lingers as a crafty and loving assemblage of pulp gimmicks, played out in a location that rivals Hitchcock locales for pure eye-vacation appeal."
Noel Murray, The A.V. Club

This film is part of the After Hours series.
