The critically-lauded television show, now in its 5th season on FX, is “one of the most multilayered dramas on TV“ (The New Yorker) that “just keeps getting more intense as it goes along, hitting harder than any drama on television right now” (Rolling Stone). Recipient of the 2017 Writers Guild of America Award for Best Dramatic Series and a Critics Choice Award (among many others), The Americans is “an empirically letter-perfect prestige drama” (Salon) about two KGB spies (Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys) posing as a married American couple living in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. Join us for a rare early in-theater screening of the show’s Season Five finale, followed by a conversation between Janet Maslin and Stephen Schiff, who, in addition to being one of the show’s executive producers, has written some of its most memorable episodes.
