Song Sung Blue

Opens December 24

Nominated for Best Performance By a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy (Kate Hudson) at the 2026 Golden Globes

Song Sung Blue follows Mike (Hugh Jackman) and Claire (Kate Hudson) as they become Lightning and Thunder, a joyous Neil Diamond tribute band that takes them from a small garage to dive bar glory to an unlikely Milwaukee stardom defined by their moving devotion to one another and the raucous power of “Sweet Caroline.” But when tragedy strikes and plunges them to the bottom, it’s the revelatory power of their lovefor music and for each other—that binds the pair, provides a way forward, and ultimately helps them remember one another.

"Brewer navigates this terrain like a jukebox Jonathan Demme."
Owen Gleiberman, Variety
"This is the kind of robust entertainment—wholesome though not at all toothless, alternately joyful and heart-wrenching—that doesn’t get made much anymore... It’s a family movie in the best sense of the term, a crowd-pleaser with a ton of heart."
David Rooney, The Hollywood Reporter
