With the Olympics in our rearview, the only thing left to win is gold—Oscar gold! Celebrate the Movies’ biggest night at the JBFC this year with the return of our Oscar Watch Party!
Find out if Ryûsuke Hamaguchi’s Drive My Car, the surprise art house smash of the year, will take home the top prize of Best Picture, or will it go to Steven Spielberg’s almost universally acclaimed West Side Story? Maybe a come-from-behind upset from Guillermo del Toro’s sumptuous, but underseen Nightmare Alley? And will Olivia Colman take home her second statue for her performance in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Lost Daughter, or will the Best Lead Actress trophy go to first-time nominee, Kristen Stewart for her haunting performance in Pablo Larraín’s Spencer? Will first-time filmmaker and beloved multi-hyphenate, Questlove take home gold for his fabulous documentary, Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)? How will the ceremony’s three first-time hosts, Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes, fare on the Oscar stage? And who will inevitably get snubbed during the In Memoriam reel?
All these questions and more will be answered on Oscar Night, so be sure to get to the theater early—doors will open at 7:15 so you can watch some of the arrivals—and our concession stand will be open all night to satisfy all of your watch party snacking needs!
