Mae West (She Done Him Wrong) plays Flower Belle Lee, a wisecracking singer who is abducted by a masked bandit during a stagecoach holdup. (She later shows up in town, unscathed, explaining, “I was in a tight spot but I managed to wiggle out of it.”) Before long she meets the con artist Cuthbert J. Twillie (comedy legend W.C. Fields, The Bank Dick) and sparks fly. With plenty of broad humor and double entendres, this comedy western was a once-in-a-lifetime teaming of the two megastars. New 4K restoration.

Bill Fields is the eldest of the famed comedian W.C. Fields’ five grandchildren. Bill succeeded his father, W.C. Fields, Jr., as President of W.C. Fields Productions, Inc., a family-owned company that still licenses the commercial uses of W.C.’s name and likeness. Some of Bill’s stories, along with W.C.’s siblings Adele and Leroy, made their way into W.C. Fields by Himself, a NY Times bestseller, by Bill’s brother, Ronald J. Fields. Bill and his family live in Rhode Island.
