Painter Julian Kreimer, a professor of studio art and criticism at Purchase College, presents a selection of film shorts made by artists who explore facets of contemporary life, ranging from gospel mime to how media like X-rays and acrylic paint tell the story of time’s passage. The artists represented include Matt Bollinger, Steffani Jemison, Jake Fried, and Barbara Hammer.

Julian Kreimer is an artist, critic, and educator. His most recent solo shows have been at Lux Art Institute in San Diego, Calif., and Weeknights Gallery in Brooklyn. His work has been exhibited at Alexandre Gallery, Snyderman Works Gallery, and TSA Gallery. He is a recipient of Yaddo and MacDowell Fellowships, and his work has been reviewed in such publications as Art in America, Hyperallergic, and Artcritical. He is a frequent contributor to Art in America and has written for Paper Monument and Modern Painters.
